The war in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion continues to drag on with new warning signs appearing in recent days, which indicate both sides may be planning false flag attacks that will kill thousands and further escalate the conflict.
In a report from The Hill, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of plotting to destroy a large dam and hydroelectric plant that is currently located in a portion of the country controlled by Moscow’s forces.
“Speaking to a meeting of the European Council, Zelenskyy said his country has evidence that Russia has planted mines at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and could be preparing to blow it up, warning that such an attack could flood the critical city of Kherson and cause cooling issues at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant,” the report stated, though it is not clear what the “evidence” is or how it was obtained.
Nevertheless, the Ukrainian president noted that if such an attack is actually carried out, then it will be a catastrophe for Ukrainian civilians living in the area.
“The dam of this hydroelectric power plant holds about 18 million cubic meters of water,” he said. “If Russian terrorists blow up this dam, more than 80 settlements, including Kherson, will be in the zone of rapid flooding. Hundreds, hundreds of thousands of people may be affected.”
He noted further that Russian troops have already evicted the dam workers and had since taken over complete control of the facility.
“They have complete control over the station,” Zelensky added. “It is necessary to act immediately so that Russia does not have the opportunity to realize this catastrophe.”
According to We Are Change:
For the past nearly two weeks Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid, with Kiev saying that already one-third of power stations in the nation have been attacked. Zelensky’s dramatic allegation ties into this theme of Ukraine lately denouncing attempts to degrade its national energy infrastructure.
Strangely enough, though not for the first time, both warring countries are currently accusing the other of major false flag operations in the works. Russian state media aired some unusual claims on Thursday.
“Ukraine has a nuclear bomb primed in Mykolaiv which it will detonate and then blame on Russia so that the US has a justification for getting directly involved in the war and launching missiles on Russia,” noted BBC ‘Russia watcher’ Francis Scarr.

We Are Change added: “From nearly the start of the Russian invasion in late February, charges of false flags have abounded in both Russian and Ukrainian media, and sometimes these theories are pushed directly by top officials. Prior charges that chemical weapons had been used early in the war, however, had never been verified and were subsequently downplayed by Western officials and pundits.”
Meanwhile, the Biden administration ordered a large contingent of the famed 101st Airborne Division to Romania, where they are conducting live-fire exercises near the country’s border with Ukraine. The deployment to Europe is the first for the division in nearly 80 years when elements jumped into France during D-Day.
“We’re ready to defend every inch of NATO soil,” the division’s deputy commander, Brig. Gen. John Lubas, told CBS News. “We bring a unique capability, from our air assault capability… We’re a light infantry force, but again, we bring that mobility with us, for our aircraft and air assaults.”
