Rapper Killer Mike warns that Democrats’ gun-grabbing will “progress us into slavery”

The American Pravda media had a field day with the “March for Our Lives” protests in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere around the country last weekend as Americans gathered to protest guns rather than talk about school safety.

The media was spinning everything about the demonstrations from the message to the phony crowd numbers, and while most of the entertainment industry appears to be squarely in the corner of gun-grabbing Democratic Marxists, not all of them have been duped, lemming-like, into accepting the standard argument that “guns” are the biggest problem.

One of the outliers, rapper Killer Mike, warned on the heels of the protests in an interview with NRATV’s Colion Noir that “progressive” Democrats’ anti-gun agenda is “going to progress us into slavery,” Breitbart News reported.

Killer Mike noted that in the run-up to the March 14 nationwide school walk-out for gun control, he told his kids, “I love you, but if walk out that school, walk out my house.”

“You can’t continue to be the lackey,” said Killer Mike, a rapper and businessman based in Atlanta. “You’re a lackey of the progressive movement because you have never disagreed with the people who tell you want to do.”

At one point in the interview, Noir noted that celebs like George Clooney and Hollywood types like Steven Spielberg donated $500,000 to help fund Saturday’s gun control march in D.C.

“Celebrities often don’t know what to do,” Killer Mike said. “They’re told what to do.”

He explained how a famous rapper — a personal friend of his — felt pressured into adopting an anti-gun position. Killer Mike said he told his friend that he, personally, is very pro-Second Amendment, because, to him, it is about the children — protecting their lives and ensuring that they’re not victims of an authoritarian government when they grow up. (Related: Someone remind the anti-gun mob: The Founding Fathers created the Second Amendment to protect us from mindless mobs JUST LIKE YOU.)

After a shooting on the Savannah State University campus, where his daughter went to school, “I talked to my wife and daughter after that, the decision was we’re going to go to Savannah, she’s going to get a gun and train more.”

He also was critical of Alt-Left culture and society that is becoming more prevalent throughout the country. “We’re raising a generation of kids where everyone gets a trophy. But in real life, everyone doesn’t get a trophy,” he said. “In real life, cops don’t come on time.”

The rapper told Noir that the Second Amendment has become a divisive issue among Americans who would otherwise agree with each other politically. “We are a gun-owning family. We are a family where my sister farms. We are a family where we will fish, we will hunt, but we are not a family that jumps on every single thing an ally of ours does because there are some things we just don’t agree with,” Killer Mike said.

Breitbart News reported in June 2015 following the murder of nine innocent church-goers at Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church by a young white male that Killer Mike responded by saying, “What happened in Charleston is an act of terror committed by a terrorist. Simple and plain. I wish those folks in that church had been armed.”

Some people reacted negatively to his comments on social media, but he responded by noting that nobody ever attacks NRA meetings, because members are armed. “Wonder why?” he asked.

It’s truly refreshing to hear someone defend our constitutional right to “keep and bear arms,” but to hear someone defend it as a necessary right to prevent the enslavement of others is as powerful as it is accurate.

Because people who are enslaved by others have always — always — been disarmed first.
